Elijah Williams has been a member of HAULYP for four years. He has served on the Community Outreach committee and was the Community Outreach Co-Chair in 2009-2010. Elijah graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2005 with Bachelors in Business Administration and a Masters in Public Administration in 2009 from Texas Southern University. He currently works in the space industry in Government and Community Relations.

Elijah is originally from New Orleans, LA and attends Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church.  He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated and Leadership Houston, Class XXX.

Samson Babalola

Samson Babalola has been a member of HAULYP for four years. He has served on the Professional Development committee and was the Community Outreach Co-Chair in 2009-2010. Samson graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 2006 with a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management and a Masters in Community Development in 2008. He currently works in the housing industry.

Michele Scurry

Michele Scurry has been a member of HAULYP for one year.  She served on the Community Outreach, Fund Development and Social and Cultural committees.  Michele holds a Masters degree in Architecture from Prairie View A&M University and is a LEED Accredited Professional.  She works in the environmental services industry.

Outside of work, Michele attends Lakewood Church and enjoys playing tennis, working on home improvement projects and spending quality time with friends and family.

Ernestine Smith

Ernestine Smith has been a member of HAULYP for three years. She has served on the Community Outreach, Social and Cultural and Professional Development committees. Ernestine graduated fromHowardUniversityin 2006 with a Bachelors of Business Administration and plans to pursue her MBA. She currently works in the energy industry.

Ernestine is a native of Fort Worth, TX and is the youngest of only girl of four.  She is a member of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church.

Kevin Plowden

Kevin Plowden has been a member of HAULYP for five years. He’s served on the Civic Engagement Committee since its inception, and served as Chair of the committee during the 2011 term. Kevin is a native of Abbeville, Louisiana, and is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance. Kevin currently works as a financial analyst in the healthcare industry.
