Alpha Eyecare Associates
We provide services that include routine eye examination for glasses and contact lenses. We also provide treatment for eye diseases, including glaucoma, as well as routine and specialized eye examination for children, people with systemic diseases (such as diabetes, hypertension, sarcoidosis), or those that are taking medications that can affect their eyes. With our knowledgeable staff and technologically advanced practice, we can take care of all of your eye health and vision care needs.
Our aim is to cater to your eye health, as well as your general health, in a most professional atmosphere. Your well-being is our single most important concern. Please take the time to evaluate all segments of our practice.
Dr. A. Philip Aitsebaomo obtained a BS Degree in Biology, a Master’s Degree in Physiological Optics, and a Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1981 from Indiana University in Bloomington Indiana. He also obtained a Ph.D. degree in Physiological Optics from the University of Houston, college of Optometry.+ He lectured full time at the University of Houston for four years, before opening his private professional practice, Alpha Eyecare Associates. He still teaches part time at the University of Houston college of Optometry. He has published many papers in scientific journals, and lectures about his research interests.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the National Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and several civic associations.

Stephen Compton has been a member of HAULYP since February of 2011 and he currently serves on the Professional Development Committee. This native Houstonian holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Management from Grambling State University in Grambling, LA. Stephen currently works as a Research Assistant for commercial and industrial accounts at Reliant Energy. He previously worked for the Houston Texans in their accounting, football operations, and pro scouting departments. He has participated in various HAULYP events and activities such as YP University, New Member Orientation, Small Business Spotlight Newsletter, and more. Stephen is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and Co-Chair Wesley AME Church Youth Department. Stephen enjoys working with the youth and empowering them to be successful in all aspects of life. In his spare time he enjoys reading, watching and playing sports, music, and traveling.

Michael Alexander is an Associate Consultant with W.J. Alexander & Associates, P.C., an independent, full-service Employee Benefits Consulting and Insurance Brokerage firm that provides comprehensive Employee Benefits, Risk Management, and Personal Insurance solutions. For over 30 this exemplary firm has provided excellent client satisfaction. WJA serves a wide range of clients in different industries including energy, healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, public entities, real estate, transportation, technology and many more.
A licensed attorney, Mr. Alexander advises WJA’s Employee Benefits clients on regulatory matters involving ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and Healthcare Reform (PPACA). For WJA’s Risk and Personal Insurance clients, Mr. Alexander engages in account analysis and management, and assists the brokerage team in developing client-specific solutions.
Michael is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and South Texas College of Law and has a Texas Group I Life and Health license, Texas Property & Casualty license, and is currently studying for the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter designation.
