Stephen Compton has been a member of HAULYP since February of 2011 and he currently serves on the Professional Development Committee. This native Houstonian holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Management from Grambling State University in Grambling, LA.  Stephen currently works as a Research Assistant for commercial and industrial accounts at Reliant Energy. He previously worked for the Houston Texans in their accounting, football operations, and pro scouting departments. He has participated in various HAULYP events and activities such as YP University, New Member Orientation, Small Business Spotlight Newsletter, and more. Stephen is also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and Co-Chair Wesley AME Church Youth Department. Stephen enjoys working with the youth and empowering them to be successful in all aspects of life. In his spare time he enjoys reading, watching and playing sports, music, and traveling.

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Michaud McPeters is an affable and gregarious person, which makes him an easy person to get along with as well as work with. He takes pride in sticking to being diligent, honest, loyal, and a team player. Michaud holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Science as well as a Masters Degree in Community Development with an emphasis in Real Estate. Both degrees earned from Prairie View A&M University.

Michaud is a licensed Texas real estate agent representing buyers and sellers in Houston and its surrounding areas. Michaud is proud to be a member of George E. Johnson Development Inc. which is a comprehensive Real Estate Development company specializing in Commercial and Residential Real Estate services, Construction, Interior Design and Owner Representative Services for faith-based organizations.

Michaud hobbies in his spare time include watching and playing football and basketball, fishing, playing golf and working out.  He takes pride in giving back to the community through community service.

Michaud was selected HAULYP 2010 Member of the year. In 2011, Michaud volunteered with the Community Outreach committee and others in S.E.A.R.C.H. in which they located and passed out hygiene products and lunch to the homeless. He participated in the 2011 AIDS WALK, he also was the Team lead for the 2011 Black Executive Exchange Program (B.E.E.P) at Prairie View A&M University which this is the National Urban League oldest program.

Jessica Wright was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Houston and Austin, TX. Since 2006, Jessica has been a full time resident of the Houston area. She has been an active member of HAULYP since January 2011.

Jessica graduated from Prairie View A&M University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. She is also recent 2010 graduate of Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University where she obtained her Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Project Management. Jessica works as a process engineer for Jacobs Engineering and is working towards her Engineer-In-Training (E.I.T.) Certificate.

Jessica is an active member of the HAULYP Civic Engagement and Social/Cultural Committees. Since joining HAULYP, she has served as team leads for the HAULYP Homeless Awareness Outreach at The Beacon and most recently for the HIV/AIDS Awareness Outreach at The Reserve. Jessica believes that since she has been blessed in so many areas of her life, it is very necessary to give back to the community. She does this by doing community service and donating to various organizations.

Jessica is a member of Prairie View A&M University National Alumni Association, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, and Omega Chi Epsilon Chemical Engineering National Honor Society.

Teneshia Hudspeth is a native of Austin, TX and has been an active member of HAULYP since November 2009.  Teneshia graduated from the School of Communications at Texas Southern University and since has made Houston, TX her home.  In 2003 she interned on Capitol Hill for The Office of Congressman Chet Edwards where she wrote speeches, constituent letters, media releases, and helped redevelop the Congressman’s website.  Her work on Capitol Hill led her back to Houston to serve as an Election Administrator to the third largest county in the nation, where she currently serves as Voter Outreach Coordinator with the Harris County Clerk’s office.  As such, she helps to provide registered voters the information, materials and assistance needed to access the voting process, via programmatic activities that comply with State and Federal Election law.

Teneshia is an active member of the HAULYP Civic Engagement and Community Outreach Committees.  Since joining HAULYP she has served as team leads for the HAULYP City Wide Voter Registration Drive, 2010 Spring YPU at University of Houston, and presented Voter Education/Election Packets for the 2010 Election season.  She has recently served as team lead of the MLK National Day of Service Clean up and the Mobile Homeless Outreach/Beacon service project.  Teneshia’s innate desire to serve the community, through volunteer work and leadership positions in school, work, and church has helped her to learn that service to the community is not a chore but a way of life.

Teneshia is an active member of the National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials and Clerks, active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a recent 2010 Graduate of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University.

Since becoming a member of HAULYP in January 2010, he has participated in numerous activities with HAULYP. Those as mention: NUL centennial conference in DC, served on planning team for “Ownership is Empowerment” housing program, participated and raised money for the Buffalo Bayou Regatta, volunteered for the Spring 2010 and Fall 2010 YPU at local universities,  UNCF walkathon, Project Clean Up and HAUL Baseball Clinic.
